What's in this kit
Description
The DB61 and DB62 Dog Transport Cage Kit is a stacked top and bottom cage system for vans and MPV setups. It gives you two separate cage levels in one layout, making better use of vehicle height while keeping dogs securely separated during transport.
The bottom box provides the larger lower compartment, while the top box adds an extra raised cage above it. This makes the kit a practical choice for carrying multiple dogs without losing more floor space than necessary.
Removable centre partitions give flexibility for different dogs and different uses. The cages can be split into separate compartments or opened into larger spaces when needed, which is useful for working dogs, mixed groups and changing day to day transport.
Twin escape doors give additional access from inside the vehicle if the rear doors cannot be opened or the load area is blocked. This is especially useful in vans and MPVs where rear access is not always straightforward.
The powder coated frame is built for regular vehicle use and fitted with anti slip rubber matting to give dogs better footing during transport. Lockable keyed alike latches keep the doors secured, while side lifting handles make the boxes easier to move into position.
Tie down fixing points in the sides and roof give proper securing options inside the vehicle. The boxes fix together and can also be secured to the vehicle using the supplied fixing points. Two people are recommended for lifting the kit into place, and in some vans the boxes may need to be separated for fitting before being bolted back together inside the vehicle.

Need help choosing the right dog cage?
Choosing the correct dog cage depends on your dog, your vehicle and how you plan to use it. Before ordering, we recommend checking your available boot or load space and comparing it against the cage dimensions listed on the product page.
Your dog should have enough room to sit, stand and travel comfortably, while the cage should still fit securely inside your vehicle. If you are unsure which size is right, or you need advice on vehicle fitment, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer delivery?
Yes, we ship to all of the UK and Ireland, including remote areas like the Highlands and Scottish Islands. Please refer to our delivery information page for full details.
How do I know which dog cage will fit my vehicle?
Measure the maximum usable space in your boot, van or load area, then compare it against the cage size shown on the product page. Check the width, height and depth at the narrowest points, especially around wheel arches, sloped seats and tailgate openings.
How do I choose the right cage size for my dog?
Your dog should have enough room to stand, turn around and lie down comfortably. The cage should not be excessively large, as a closer fit gives better support during travel.
Do I need to secure the cage inside the vehicle?
A dog cage should sit securely in the vehicle and should not move during travel. Some setups may require fixing points, straps or a fitted layout depending on the vehicle and cage type.
Do you offer bespoke dog cages?
Yes. Bespoke cages are made to order for specific vehicles, layouts and dog requirements. Send your measurements and requirements for a quote.
