Warranty Information

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Your legal rights come first

Everything on this page describes our voluntary manufacturer's warranty. This warranty is provided in addition to your legal rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which are not affected by anything in this warranty. Under the Act, the products we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and if they are not, you are entitled to remedies including repair, replacement or refund at no cost to you. Those rights are explained in section 11 of our Terms and Conditions and are not limited to 12 months.

Where a problem with your product amounts to a fault covered by your statutory rights, we will handle it under those rights, at no cost to you. The warranty below gives you additional protection beyond that.

This warranty is given by Dean Gammon trading as Dog Box UK, of Unit 3, Valhalla Industrial Estate, Holsworthy, Devon EX22 6HN, and applies to products purchased for use within the United Kingdom. It applies from the date of delivery and is available in writing on request.

Dog boxes and cages

All dog boxes supplied for domestic use are covered by a 12-month structural warranty. This covers the main body of the box against structural failure, including the central divider, hinges and door locks.

The powder-coated finish is covered against defects for 12 months, excluding scratches and wear caused by dogs.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Accidental or impact damage
  • Matting
  • Damage caused by chewing of vents, doors or any other part of the product
  • Normal wear and tear

Storage drawers

Dog Box UK storage drawers are covered by a 12-month warranty on the same basis. This excludes accidental or impact damage, matting, normal wear and tear, and scratches or wear to the powder-coated finish caused by use.

Commercial use

Products supplied for commercial or business use are covered by this warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase. Statutory consumer rights apply only to consumers; if you purchase as a business, your remedies are as set out in this warranty and our business terms of sale.

Making a warranty claim

To make a claim, email info@dogboxuk.co.uk with your order number, a description of the problem and photographs of the affected area. We aim to respond to all warranty claims within [X] working days.

Faults covered by your statutory rights: if the problem is a defect covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (for example, the product was not of satisfactory quality or not sufficiently durable), we will repair or replace it, or refund you where the law requires, at no cost to you, including reasonable return or collection costs. Within 30 days of delivery you may instead reject a faulty product for a full refund.

Claims under this warranty beyond your statutory rights: where a claim falls outside your statutory rights but within this warranty, we will repair or replace the product at our discretion. For these claims, the cost of returning the product to us for inspection or warranty work is your responsibility, and we recommend using an insured, tracked service. We will cover the cost of sending the repaired or replacement product back to you.

Nothing in this section requires you to use this warranty before, or instead of, exercising your statutory rights.

Products not manufactured by Dog Box UK

Products we sell but do not manufacture are covered by the warranty provided by the original manufacturer, and we will assist you with any manufacturer warranty claim. Please contact us at the time of ordering if you would like details of the manufacturer's warranty for a particular product.

Regardless of any manufacturer's warranty, your statutory rights in respect of these products are against us as the seller, and everything in the "Your legal rights come first" section above applies equally to them.

Intended use and modifications

Products must be assembled, installed and used as intended and in accordance with any instructions supplied. In particular:

  • Dog boxes are designed for the transportation of dogs only.
  • Storage drawers must not be loaded beyond their rated runner capacity.

Damage resulting from misuse, overloading, or use for a purpose other than the product's intended use is not covered by this warranty. Any modification, alteration or unauthorised repair of the product will invalidate this warranty in respect of any damage or failure arising from it.

These conditions apply to this voluntary warranty only. They do not remove or reduce your statutory rights in relation to faults that are not caused by misuse or modification.
