What's in this kit
Description
The DB81 & DB62 Dog Transport Cage Kit is a modular top and bottom box setup for vans and MPVs where dog transport needs to be secure, organised and space efficient. The kit combines the DB81 lower box with the DB62 top box, giving you a stacked cage system that makes better use of the vehicle’s height as well as the floor space.
The lower DB81 box provides the main double compartment cage, with twin escape doors for access from inside the vehicle. The removable centre partition lets you keep two dogs separated or open the lower box into one larger space when needed.
The DB62 top box adds extra transport capacity above the lower cage, with the two boxes fixing together as part of a secure modular setup. The system can also be anchored directly to the vehicle, giving a more stable installation for regular work, training and professional use.
Both boxes are built with a powder coated finish and fitted with 3mm anti slip rubber matting to give dogs better footing during travel. Lockable catches with spare keys keep the doors secured when the rear doors or canopy are open, while lifting handles make the boxes easier to move into position.
We recommend two people for fitting this kit into a van. Depending on the thickness of the plywood floor, the boxes may need to be unbolted, lifted in separately and then bolted back together inside the vehicle using a 4mm Allen key and a 10mm socket or spanner. Some vans with ply lining may also need the wheel arch covers removed for fitment.

Need help choosing the right dog cage?
Choosing the correct dog cage depends on your dog, your vehicle and how you plan to use it. Before ordering, we recommend checking your available boot or load space and comparing it against the cage dimensions listed on the product page.
Your dog should have enough room to sit, stand and travel comfortably, while the cage should still fit securely inside your vehicle. If you are unsure which size is right, or you need advice on vehicle fitment, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
Frequently asked questions
Do you offer delivery?
Yes, we ship to all of the UK and Ireland, including remote areas like the Highlands and Scottish Islands. Please refer to our delivery information page for full details.
How do I know which dog cage will fit my vehicle?
Measure the maximum usable space in your boot, van or load area, then compare it against the cage size shown on the product page. Check the width, height and depth at the narrowest points, especially around wheel arches, sloped seats and tailgate openings.
How do I choose the right cage size for my dog?
Your dog should have enough room to stand, turn around and lie down comfortably. The cage should not be excessively large, as a closer fit gives better support during travel.
Do I need to secure the cage inside the vehicle?
A dog cage should sit securely in the vehicle and should not move during travel. Some setups may require fixing points, straps or a fitted layout depending on the vehicle and cage type.
Do you offer bespoke dog cages?
Yes. Bespoke cages are made to order for specific vehicles, layouts and dog requirements. Send your measurements and requirements for a quote.
